Runner’s High
Client: Fieldkit & Hoka
Work: Illustration
The Prompt
Hoka was putting on their Festival of Miles event in St. Louis and they wanted a space for the competitors to relax in that was branded differently than the festival.
The Concept
I decided to create a series of chunky, colorful illustrations that could overlap, creating an effect similar to a sticker wall, but cleaner and brighter.
I created illustrations that highlighted running and St. Louis in fun and quirky ways.
Animations
To flesh out the visuals of the idea, I brought many of the illustrations and typography to life with animation.
Content
With an event that is in need of a lot of signage, I wanted to apply the same level of energy to the more dense areas of information.
Final Result
Hoka ultimately decided to embrace brand cohesion and applied their corporate branding to the relaxation space, but I was so happy with this direction I decided to share it as a case study.
